- Structured Finance Solutions – Project Finance, Infrastructure, Net Asset Value, Leverage Finance, Origination
- Corporate & Investment Banking – Capital Markets, Global Financial Institutions, Trade Finance, Corporate Banking
- Sales & Trading – Derivatives, Fixed Income, Credit
How Our Program Works
Our full-time Graduate Programme helps to prepare talented individuals for an engaging and rewarding career at SMBC. The programme will begin with onboarding and training, during which graduates will participate in global orientation and regional training programmes. These sessions will cover technical and professional skills, introduce key SMBC processes and business areas, and support analysts' professional development. Analysts will also have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and expand their networks with colleagues across both the region and the globe.
Our Programme is an investment in our people.
The training includes:
- Credit and Financial Modelling, Financial eLearning, Business Overviews (presented by panels of experts from our businesses) and Case Study
- Business Writing, Presentation Skills, Managing Your Career, Personal and SMBC Branding, Japanese Cultural Training, and various networking events
- Buddy assignments to support fluid integration into the programme

- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree from an accredited university with a graduation date between 2024 - 2026 ; excellent academic record

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. We encourage you to submit your application as early as possible as we start conducting assessment rounds ahead of the deadline.
If you are advanced to the next step of the process, you’ll receive an email invitation to complete an online assessment and if progressed a video interview. If successful you will be invited to an assessment centre as a final stage.
Completion of the online assessment is required, and your application will not be considered for further review until you have completed it. We strongly encourage that you apply and complete this as soon as possible, since programs will close as positions are filled.
