The role
We’re seeking talented graduates to join our Building Services team in Birmingham or Manchester. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to the design and delivery of building systems that support healthier, more sustainable environments. From education and healthcare to commercial and residential developments, you’ll help shape spaces that are comfortable, efficient and future-ready.
Your impact in this position
As a Graduate Electrical Building Services Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the technical delivery of projects. You’ll gain hands-on experience delivering innovative solutions that integrate mechanical and electrical systems. We’re passionate about reducing environmental impact and meeting the evolving demands of modern buildings through smart, sustainable design.
You’ll collaborate across disciplines, attend client meetings and site visits, and produce technical drawings and calculations that meet industry standards. With mentorship from senior engineers and access to a structured development programme, you’ll build the skills, confidence, and experience needed to progress toward chartership and beyond.

Programme highlights
- Central induction and ongoing support from your line manager and mentor
- In-depth technical training in your core discipline, plus exposure to 15 technical and 8 interpersonal topics

Your Pathway: You’ll be assigned a location, cost centre, line manager, and a ‘home’ technical discipline based on your qualifications and business needs. If you wish to explore a different discipline at the end of the programme, we’ll consider this based on your interests and business requirements.
Chartered Management Institute (CMI) partnership
As part of the scheme, you’ll have access to the CMI Foundation Chartered Manager pathway through flexible, online Bite Size programs. Choose from a range of topics—including Managing Change, Leading in a Digital Age, Conflict Resolution, Project Management, and Data-Driven Decision Making—to build your leadership and management skills.

Each program consists of three concise modules (totalling 85-135 minutes), scheduled in your second year. Complete activity sheets to demonstrate your learning and earn your Foundation Chartered Manager certification.
Qualifications
Must have achieved, or be on track to achieve, a relevant degree in either Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
