About the role

We’re an ambitious, growing residential developer entering an exciting new phase of growth and transformation. We are investing in the structures, governance, and processes needed to scale sustainably and professionally. This is a rare opportunity to join at the heart of that journey, working directly alongside the senior leadership team at a pivotal moment for the company.

This is a newly created position designed for an ambitious and capable graduate who wants to play a meaningful role in shaping how a growing business operates. You will provide hands-on support to the C-suite in stabilising the business, strengthening corporate governance and building the frameworks and processes that will underpin sustainable growth.

You will be responsible for the preparation, coordination, and management of board and committee papers, helping to ensure that decision-making across the business is well-informed, properly documented, and efficiently tracked. You will take ownership of document management processes, bringing order and coherence to the way the business creates, stores, and retrieves key corporate records and approvals. You will act as a central point of coordination, working with colleagues across regions and functions to gather the information needed for board reporting, strategic papers, and management updates.

Key responsibilities

  • Preparing, collating and formatting papers for board meetings, committee meetings, and other senior approvals; ensuring that submissions are clear, complete, and presented to a high standard.
  • Coordinating with regional teams and functional leads to gather data, updates and contributions for inclusion in board packs and management reports.
  • Managing the end-to-end process for board and committee approvals, including maintaining schedules of matters reserved, tracking outstanding approvals, and ensuring proper records are kept.
  • Establishing and maintaining a well-organised, coherent document management system for corporate governance records, board minutes, resolutions, policies and related materials.
  • Attending meetings of the board, senior leadership team, and other forums as required, taking accurate and timely minutes, and recording clear action points with owners and deadlines. Following up on action points and outstanding items to ensure accountability and progress across the business.
  • Using AI tools and other technology to review and sense-check documents, identify inconsistencies, and improve the quality and reliability of papers before they reach the board or senior leadership.
  • Assisting in the development and embedding of improved governance frameworks, policies and reporting processes as the company grows and professionalises its operations.
  • Tracking progress against strategic priorities, project milestones, and key business metrics and helping to present this information in a clear and accessible way for the senior team.

About you

  • A graduate with a strong academic record and a genuine enthusiasm for getting stuck in and making a difference.
  • Intellectually curious, well-organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate and well-structured documents.
  • Confident and comfortable working with senior leaders; able to build trust quickly and to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Genuinely interested in, and able to use effectively, AI and other tech tools to improve efficiencies and the way work is done.
  • A genuine interest in corporate governance, property, housebuilding or business operations would be a distinct advantage, though it is not essential.
