What is Internship Experience UK (IEUK)?

Internship Experience UK (or IEUK) is Bright Network’s four-day virtual internship programme taking place on the 14th - 17th July 2025. This is the sixth annual edition of IEUK – and every year it keeps getting better, with new content that helps you stay ahead in the competitive job market.

The experience is designed for university students studying your first undergraduate degree and preparing to launch your early career.

The agenda is curated to support you in choosing the right career path. Whether you have some idea of what sector you’d like to go into or have no clue what to pursue, IEUK will help you decide. Plus, along the way you’ll gain key skills that are sought-after by top graduate employers.

Over 145,000 students have completed the live version of IEUK since it began in 2020. It’s a staple part of your university experience — don’t miss out!

Applications are now open. Select your sector stream and complete your Internship Experience UK application in just 10 minutes.

Who is IEUK for?

IEUK is for first, second and penultimate year students who are currently working towards their first undergraduate bachelor’s degree in the UK. You can take part if you're:

  • Graduating from your first undergraduate degree or integrated Master’s in 2026, 2027, 2028 (or 2029, if on a four-year course), or
  • Starting a Master’s degree in autumn 2025 after graduating from your first undergraduate degree in the summer of 2025
  • 18 years or older
  • A Bright Network member. If you're not a member yet, simply sign up when you click 'Apply' – it’s totally free!

This year's programme is focused on entry-level candidates who have little to no professional work experience. You may have done an internship or insight week, or had a part-time/temporary role in customer service or similar, but you haven’t started a full-time graduate role yet. The programme is designed to give you a first step into the professional world whilst you complete your degree.

All degree backgrounds are welcome - from physics to fine art. Just bring your curiosity and an interest in exploring the different career paths available to you. Secure your place now.

Please note that sponsorship opportunities with participating employers may be limited for attendees without the permanent right to work in the UK.
