First, please tell us a little bit about yourself.
“My career path reflects the hard work I have done to get where I am now. I plan on working extremely hard in the next 5 years to get an ACA qualification.
Going to university was the best three years of my life!"
What motivated you to apply for the role?
“Moore Kingston Smith is an up-and-coming firm, currently ranked as the 11th top accounting firm. They provide me with everything I need from a graduate role, from a welcoming team to an ideal office location, alongside the ACA qualification."
How did Bright Network help you secure your role?
“I found the job on Bright Network, and then used the articles on the website to help prepare for the different stages of the application process.”
What are you most proud of about your journey?
“Trying to enter the job market in this economy was exceptionally challenging and stressful. However, getting the email saying, 'Congratulations, we'd like to offer you a position' is the best feeling and makes all the work and effort worthwhile.”
What are your tips for people looking to follow in your footsteps?
“Try and practice the application stages, specifically the interview stages. I find that knowing what the interview questions will look like makes it easier when the time comes.
If I had to redo the process, I would have made sure to know exactly what I was applying to and researched the day-to-day of the role, as that was a common question. I would also look at the company’s competitors and clarify why I want to work for that company over its competition.”
Tell us about the future. What's next?
“I am looking forward to networking with all the people I work with, but I'm also looking forward to having the London corporate lifestyle.”
