BGC are a leading global brokerage company, conducting trillions of dollars in financial transactions every year for customers in financial services and the real estate markets. Here are five reasons why you'll love working at BGC.

1. It's fast-paced, exciting work

The role of an inter-dealer broker is to facilitate trades between buyers and sellers of financial instruments, often keeping in touch with both parties at the same time to get the best deal for their client.

Working on a trading floor is a role like no other and one of the most dynamic work environments you could hope to experience. BGC are also known for their collegiate, team-oriented dynamic so you can rely on plenty of support as you get stuck into your new position.

2. Work at the heart of the finance industry

BGC work with a wide range of clients all over the world. Their customers include many of the world's largest banks, hedge funds, governments, corporations and real estate developers. As part of this leading firm you are at the heart of a host of financial activity, acting as the facilitator between institutions.

In addition to London, BGC also have offices in dozens of major markets including New York, Hong Kong, Beijing and Tokyo.

3. Highly competitive pay and benefits

As well as being a intense, demanding career, working as a broker is rewarding. If the knowledge of raising money for charity isn't quite enough for you, BGC offer a very competitive salary and excellent benefits, with additional bonuses once you start managing your own clients.

4. Real opportunities for progression

BGC pride themselves on their flat structure and meritocratic approach to staff progression. Their people are their most important asset so they make sure that talented minds can really make their mark. You'll be encouraged to gain maximum exposure across the business and learn as much as possible so if you're ambitious and hard-working then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

5. The BGC charity day

Every year on September 11th, BGC holds a Charity Day to commemorate their colleagues lost on that day in 2001 at the World Trade Centre. On this day BGC distributes 100% of their global revenues to charities all over the world. Since it was started Charity Day has raised over $137 million dollars globally.

Now every year they invite a range of celebrities onto the floor to conduct trades and raise money for charities of their choosing. Recent guests have included Stephen Fry, Kate Middleton, Jonathan Ross and Rio Ferdinand. You can learn more about it here.
