I joined BNY Mellon in June 2023 as part of the Technology START Intern Program, during summer break before final-year of Bachelor of Computer Science Studies. I was appointed to the SSA (Shared Service Engineering) branch where I worked as a Back-end Developer. Since joining the team, I have been responsible for adding new features and fixing existing bugs in our project.

I really appreciated atmosphere and people in the office. My typical day consisted of daily Agile meetings, where I reported to the team about my progress and blockers, as well as code reviews and writing Java code with Spring Boot framework. When working at BNY Mellon I improved my programming knowledge by taking multiple courses at Pluralsight, a learning platform provided to us by the firm. I feel more confident now because of the vast personal and professional experience acquired here.

During the internship I participated in many inspiring sessions with company leaders that broaden my horizons and helped visualize my future career path. I also took part in networking events where I met my colleagues and extended my connections.

I am passionate about making an impact on the society I live in. I participated in charity events organized by the company, where I helped local community foundations.

As interns we had the opportunity to get to know each other and form new relationships through events organized by the campus team. We took part in laser tag game, community service events and many more.

Outside of work I love travelling, playing on the guitar, reading books and watching TV shows. Can’t wait to have an opportunity to come back here for the graduate program and continue my career path at BNY Mellon!
