One of the most important areas to focus on in your career is your network – but what does that really mean? At McKinsey, we’ve set up a Women as Future Leaders network for women like you – women at undergraduate level, or who have just graduated. It’s a chance for you to get to know each other, for you to support each other in your aspirations, and for you to share experiences and advice.
At McKinsey, solving problems is our focus, and if that sounds like a career you’re excited about, we’d love to meet you.
We run events throughout the year, and also share content on our facebook page, Women as Future Leaders. Our network has two main goals: for you to get to know each other, and for us to get to know you. We hope to see you at one of our events soon - you can sign up to join the network here. Recent events have included a workshop in Centred Leadership, which covered how to convert your ambitions into concrete plans. We were very impressed at the different goals of the participants, including one woman who decided she would try to publish her own novel!
Of course, this isn’t the only initiative on gender equality we have here at McKinsey. Recently we worked with Lean In to write an article on the different factors affecting women’s progression in the workplace. We have also worked in partnership with HeForShe, the UN Women’s initiative for gender equality.
Gender equality is just one of the many complex problems facing the world’s largest corporations, governments, and organisations. At McKinsey, solving problems is our focus, and if that sounds like a career you’re excited about, we’d love to meet you.
