We recently caught up with Angus Taylor, a student at Warwick University, who attended McKinsey & Co's prestigious Discover programme last year. Discover is an all expenses paid, three day programme giving you the opportunity to work alongside McKinsey professionals and understand what a career in Management Consulting could entail.
Here's what Angus had to say about the programme last year...
"I applied to Discover so I could learn more about consulting, an area which I had no prior knowledge of. The programme was exceptionally useful in explaining the job consultants do and how McKinsey advises companies across the world as they tackle a wide range of different problems.
Previously, I had been sceptical of consulting as a career choice but the opportunity to meet consultants at McKinsey changed my mind. The program helped me decide that consulting was a career for me and an area that would provide great opportunities and support, early in my career path."
After taking part in last year's programme, Angus was successful in securing a Business Analyst role at McKinsey & Co, which he will be starting in Autumn this year.
