Tell us a little bit about yourself and your background?
I recently graduated from LSE, where I studied law. Since graduating, I completed the SQE and will be joining Goodwin in September.
Outside of law, I have a strong interest in sport. I previously competed for India's national shotgun team, which gave me a habit of staying calm when there is no margin for error and to perform consistently under pressure.
I've recently taken up golf and enjoy visiting museums in my free time. I also enjoy reading, travelling, and playing the piano.

What inspired you to apply for the trainee solicitor programme at Goodwin?
There are three key factors that made Goodwin stand out to me.
Firstly, its structure is distinctive . Goodwin supports clients through the entire lifecycle: raising the fund, deploying the capital, growing the business, and exiting through an IPO or a sale. You see the full lifecycle of an investment in one firm, on both the buy and sell side. Goodwin does this by specialising across six industries, namely life sciences, technology, healthcare, private equity, real estate and Investment funds and capital. For someone who wants world-class experience and broad exposure, that was the biggest draw.
Secondly, I was drawn to Goodwin's hands-on approach. Smaller teams, high volume of sophisticated work and close collaboration mean trainees take on meaningful responsibility early in their careers.
Finally, the culture sealed my decision. At an Open Day, hearing an associate who had trained as an NHS doctor before moving into the technology and life sciences team speak about the firm's clients captured everything I found exciting about Goodwin. The mix of ambition, momentum in London and genuine warmth is what convinced me this was where I wanted to start my career.
What has been the single most important thing you learnt so far in your journey in law?
The most important thing I have learnt is that knowing the law is only part of the job. Clients do not experience law as abstract rules; they experience it through decisions about deals, and risks they can or cannot take.
Goodwin prides itself on being a business adviser to its clients, not just a legal one. This is why I have worked to build my financial literacy in accounting, economics and investment research alongside my legal studies , so I can better understand the commercial context in which businesses operate .
What do you find most interesting about the legal sector/Goodwin?
What I find most interesting is Goodwin’s unique position at the intersection of life sciences, technology and capital. Many of the most exciting innovations of the next decade, such as new therapies, diagnostics and medical technologies, will only reach patients and markets if they have access to capital. . Life sciences is a fascinating space from a commercial perspective; it tends to follow secular growth trends tied to population and need rather than luxury, which makes it more resilient to volatility than many sectors. That combination of high stakes, long timelines and genuine human impact is what pulls me in.
Goodwin sits right at that intersection. It captures the whole journey from a founder's early funding round through to a major exit, and its long-standing relationships, like its work with Moderna, show the value of a firm that understands both the science and the deal. That blend of technical legal work and deep commercial and scientific understanding is exactly the kind of work I want to be part of.
How did you find your vacation scheme experience?
My vacation scheme experience was, above all, a chance to test the reasons I had applied against the reality of working at the firm.
I sat in Private Equity, which was the perfect opportunity to immerse myself in one of Goodwin’s core practice areas. The work was intellectually stimulating, and my supervisor and trainee buddy always took the time to answer questions and encourage curiosity.. The assessments never felt like a test; they reflected a genuine desire to help participants learn and succeed.
What stayed with me most was the culture: collegiate, entrepreneurial, and full of people who clearly enjoy what they do. By the end of the scheme, I could picture myself fitting in with Goodwin's people and culture.
