Covering letter advice

Your covering letter

  • Tailored to the role
  • Why you want the job
  • What you can bring

A covering letter is your chance to write in your own words and bring your application to life.

Always tailor this to the job you are applying for – it’s easy to tell when someone has used the same for a number of jobs.

Coverletter

Talk specifically about the employer and why you want to work for them and what you personally can offer based on your skills, experience and drive to learn

Easiest way to do this is looking back at the job advert and highlighting the key requirements for the role – what skills are they looking for

Then write about examples where you’ve demonstrated those skills either in school, personal life or any work experience you may have
