Graduates into Health (GIH)

The Graduates into Health (GiH) service has been established by the Health Innovation Network in response to our members workforce needs. The service widens access to Digital, Data and Technology careers in the health and social care economy for students and new graduates. It is about harnessing talent from universities for the benefit of the NHS and creating partnerships with other organisations that have a workforce focus to ensure the NHS has a joined-up approach to gaining the best entry level talent.
Graduates into Health (GiH) - Graduate Digital, Data and Technology Scheme (DDaT)
Graduates into Health’s main service is the Graduate Digital, Data and Technology Scheme (DDaT), commissioned by Health Education England’s ‘Building a Digital Ready Workforce Programme’. This scheme provides a new fast track development scheme for Graduates to join NHS Trusts, CCGs, CSUs, Local Authorities, primary and third sector.
The Graduate scheme is a highly-focused development pathway for digital, data & technology graduates to become the next NHS digital, data & technology middle managers and beyond. This is a ‘grow your own model’ to recruit digital, data and technology graduates and develop your technical specialists for your organisation.
The scheme started as a pan-London pilot and is expanding to every region to create a national digital, data and technology scheme built by and for the NHS.
