Soros Fund Management LLC is a privately owned investment management firm and the principal investment advisor to George Soros, his foundations and members of his family.  The firm headquarters are in New York and SFM has offices in London, Dublin and Hong Kong. 

The majority of the assets managed are on behalf of the Open Society Foundations (OSF), one of the largest charitable foundations in the world, which George Soros founded in 1993.

The firm currently consists of approximately 220 employees, of which a third are investment professionals directly investing in or overseeing indirect investments in hedge fund and private equity strategies. 

SFM and its clients have the flexibility to consider most types of investment opportunities without geographical limitation and endeavor to maximize the advantages that can accrue to patient, long-term capital.
