Bright Network invites you to apply for Macquarie’s Women in STEM: Empowering What’s Possible event on Wednesday, 28 August 2024.  At the event, you’ll hear their bright, supportive and driven team on the skills, connections and core knowledge needed to prepare you for a future career in financial services and with Macquarie, a global financial services group operating in 34 markets.

 Why attend?

  • Learn essential skills to prepare you for a career in finance through skills- based workshops, case studies and activities. 
  • Be eligible to have your application fast-tracked to interview for a place on Macquarie’s 2025 summer internship or graduate programme. 

What can I expect on the day?

The event will take place in our regional headquarters in London on the 28 August between 10:00 and 18:00 and include:

  • A keynote from a Macquarie leader on how we are empowering what’s possible, together.
  • Training to boost your resilience and confidence in the recruitment process.
  • Networking lunch with our people. 
  • Deep dive sessions into what our various business teams do.  

Who can attend?

  • Undergraduate students who identify as women
  • Studying at a UK university and graduating in 2025 or 2026
  • Working toward a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics 
  • Interested in an internship or graduate role in financial services and with Macquarie

Macquarie will cover the cost of your travel (via UK national rail), if required. Further details will be provided if your application is successful. Please do not book your travel until you receive an acceptance email from Macquarie or further instructions from the Bright Network team. Note, Macquarie will not provide accommodation and will only reimburse travel expenses if booked after receiving these instructions.

  • Your CV and your application form are reviewed. 
  • If selected, you will receive more information on the next steps of the application process which includes submitting additional information to Macquarie Group and completing a Psychometric Assessment.  
  • You will be notified if your application to attend the event has been accepted.
