What you'll do
Health & safety
As part of a high-integrity business serving the aerospace, defence, and energy sectors, all employees are expected to:
- Comply with all applicable health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and legal obligations, including those relevant to CNC machining and high-reliability manufacturing.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, reporting any hazards, incidents, near-misses, or unsafe behaviours promptly and accurately.
- Use and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately, ensuring correct use in line with task and risk requirements.
- Participate in mandatory EHS training, emergency response drills, and company health and wellbeing initiatives.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement in safety and sustainability, including contributing ideas for reducing risk, waste, and environmental impact.
- Demonstrate environmental awareness by following procedures for responsible use of materials, recycling, and energy conservation.
General
- Promote effective communication between your functional area and other areas of the business.
- Maintain high levels of personal motivation and development, advising your line manager of personal training requirements to enhance achievement of the job role.
- Carry out duties in accordance with policies and procedures of AML (Advanced Manufacturing Limited).
- Perform any other duties which may be required within the role to meet the needs of the company.
Key duties and responsibilities
Your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Work with key internal and external stakeholders to manage project tasks and deliverables.
- Report project activity, delays and issues to the Technical Commercial Manager.
- Manage project risks and mitigation strategies.
- Write technical reports on project progress.
- Deliver project update presentations.
- Write applications for grant funding.
- Support other areas of the business where required.
Requirements
- A Level Mathematics: Grade A or above (Essential)
- Currently studying towards a STEM degree (Essential)
- GCSE English: Grade 6 (B) or above
- Currently studying towards an Engineering degree
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisation skills.
- IT skills, including Microsoft packages.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to use own initiative.
- Ability to manage own time effectively.
