The opportunity
EIA – Environmental Impact Assessment
We're looking for graduate consultants to join our team of bright professionals. As our EIA team within Climate and Sustainability Services offer a multidisciplinary service, we are looking for graduates with diverse skills and interests within environmental appraisal, impact assessment and EIA management to work on major national infrastructure (transport, water and energy sectors) and urban development projects. Clients will include private developers, public sector authorities and other organisations. You will be working in a multi-disciplinary environment alongside other environmental, planning, engineering and urban design specialists, and will work closely with technical disciplines (both internal and external to Arup) to deliver high quality environmental consultancy services. A Graduate in the EIA team will:
- Undertake environmental impact assessment projects – this will involve managing the assessment process and technical teams and reviewing all technical inputs.
- Writing environmental reports including Environmental site appraisals, EIA screening letters, EIA scoping reports, Environmental Statements, and other environmental reports.
- GIS mapping and data analysis
- Monitoring and reporting on the implementation of environmental management plans and compliance with EIA conditions.
- Project management activities including programming and budget control.

- Bachelor's degree or higher degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Geography or other related environmental subjects (Minimum 2.1) or equivalent.
