    The opportunity

    Arup's award-winning Business and Investor Advisory (BIA) team is one of the top technical advisers in the infrastructure and energy markets. Our advice spans the breadth of the project lifecycle and we work across international markets. You will get the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, providing technical advisory to infrastructure investors, asset owners, operators and developers, governments, and international finance institutions. Decarbonisation and sustainability agendas are at the core of our projects.

    The Business and Investor Advisory team is comprised of around 110 people predominantly based in London and Manchester, who provide a range of advisory services to clients operating across the infrastructure sector, and across international markets.

    You will be based in the Deal Advisory team within Business and Investor Advisory, where you will work alongside team members and Arup technical specialists to help provide investor-focused technical advice on potential acquisitions and divestments of energy, utilities, transport and telecommunication assets.

    We are looking to recruit Summer Placement Students into the Deal Advisory team, to be based in London or Manchester.

    The successful candidates will be someone who is

    • Studying a degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline or similar
    • Has working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other office applications as well as an appreciation for infrastructure and the built environment
    • Has the ability to communicate effectively with the team and manage the delivery of tasks within the allocated time
    • Has good analytical skills
    • Has good time management
