    A Junior Forensic Data Analyst to develop and support systems that provide deep insight into site usage, using innovative data analytic tools and approaches within our Systems Monitoring team.

    The team are responsible for ensuring the health and stability of our core website, capturing and analysing thousands of events per second, looking for patterns of behaviour and acting to provide the best possible customer experience.

    You will learn cutting edge technologies at a significant scale and be given the guidance and support to develop into an accomplished Data Analyst with the ability to present coherent information based on vast amounts of data. You will learn how to produce predictive models, including machine learning and code in Python while producing analysis and solutions to drive the correct decisions in the shortest possible time.

    As we continue to evolve and solve new and challenging problems you will have the opportunity to influence the technical direction of the team.

    This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.

    Preferred skills and experience

    • Resourceful, creative and inquisitive approach to highly complex tasks.
    • Comfortable analysing large datasets.
    • Ability to present complex data in an understandable way.
    • Basic understanding of SQL.
    • Experience of ‘R’ programming in RStudio is desirable.
    • Experience in Python is desirable.
    • Good knowledge of Excel.
    • Basic knowledge of Linux.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Looking for unusual and abnormal activity using our forensics platform.
    • Analysing captured data, looking for patterns and opportunities to improve our monitoring tools.
    • Performing ad-hoc reporting requests from internal teams.
    • Gathering internal customer requirements and working with the development team to enhance the platform.
    • Reacting to evolving business needs and requirements.
