    A Junior Software Developer who will bring a passion for coding and learning to our sports and e-Sports trading desktop apps and services.

    Within the Sports Back Office team you will be developing, maintaining and evolving our trading applications. These tools are used by our traders to create and configure fixtures allowing customers to place bets before and during games. As well as trader activity, the team develops and supports the services to react to real-time data feeds, providing instant feedback on fixtures to both traders and customers.

    As a Junior Software Developer you will code within a team of experienced developers, you will learn to develop C#, .Net applications and services along with gaining business functional and trading knowledge. Working as a Junior Software Developer you would also engage in our tooling development in Blazor.

    Senior mentors will provide the right level of both domain and skills guidance and additional support is provided by team teaders who will assist with the understanding of processes and your career progression.

    Training time and resources are provided for this alongside a full licence to Pluralsight for any other technologies that may be relevant.

    This role is eligible for inclusion in the hybrid working from home policy allowing 3 days working from home per week.

    Preferred skills and experience

    • Passion for coding in object-orientated languages.
    • Relational database knowledge or experience.
    • Production experience or demonstrable knowledge of C# or similar object-orientated language.
    • Code analysis, ability to review existing code and apply to new problems.
    • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Strong team player.
    • Keen interest in e-sports or sports.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Developing, maintaining and enhancing the trading applications, with the guidance and support of your team.
    • Expanding your knowledge in MS SQL, C# and WPF.
    • Developing your skills with Git version management and Jira issue management.
    • Learning to use a number of relevant additional development tools and skills to improve the development process such as .NET 6, Go and Blazor.
    • Investigating issues and drive performance improvements.
