The opportunity

Date: Thursday 6 November 2025

Our in-person open day at our London office for aspiring solicitors with a STEM (science, technology, engineering or mathematics) degree is an opportunity to gain an insight into what life is like as a solicitor at Bird & Bird. From insight talks, panel discussions and Q&As, to workshops and skill sessions, there’s so much to discover!

We operate rolling recruitment, which means we screen applications as they are received, rather than after our deadline. Therefore, we encourage you to apply as early as possible.

To apply to our STEM Solicitor Open Day, you must be able to start a training contract in September 2028 or sooner and be in your final year, or have completed, a STEM degree. At the time of submitting your application, you must:

  • be in your final year or have completed a STEM degree; or
  • be studying or have completed the PgDL; or
  • be studying or have completed SQE1 and/or SQE2.
