At Capsticks, we’re always looking for bright, talented individuals who bring something special to our firm. In return, we’re committed to helping you thrive, succeed, and reach your full potential.
We focus on legal work that makes a real difference to people’s lives. From health to housing, regulators to emergency services, our clients are at the heart of public service – and so are we. That’s why we attract people who want to do good, while building a rewarding career in a leading law firm.
This paid legal internship is sponsored by the firm’s LGBT+ employee network, Prism. The network is keen to offer the opportunity to an aspiring lawyer or student with a keen interest in law to experience a firm that is committed to being LGBT+ inclusive and to support wider LGBT+ representation across the legal profession.
Who we’re looking for
This opportunity is for university students who identify as LGBT+ with a keen interest in law or aspiring to be a lawyer. It will give you valuable insight into the legal profession and the work we do.
We welcome applications from candidates who are in the first or second year of undergraduate studies (law or non-law degree), who are able to attend the internship at our Wimbledon office between 13-17 April 2026.
What to expect
During your internship, you’ll be based predominately in the Claims division but with opportunities to experience work from other divisions including Employment & Pensions, and Advisory. You’ll be supported by a dedicated supervisor and receive constructive feedback to help you develop. There will be networking opportunities with trainee solicitors, partners, associates, and central business services colleagues.
Application process
Your CV and written application will help us understand more about you, your motivations and aspirations, and your interest in Capsticks. Applications will then be shortlisted and there may be a video screening to complete, with successful candidates invited to an interview stage in late February 2026, that will determine who receives an offer for the internship. There is one placement available.
