Working Hours: 35 hours per week (Mon – Fri)

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to our assessment centre on 5th February. The process includes interviews, group tasks, and presentations.

 About the role:

This 12-month placement offers practical experience in our Commercial sales teams, designed for students seeking to develop core commercial skills in a challenging FMCG environment. You’ll work alongside experienced Account Managers, supporting key customer accounts in our Off trade team (major retailers and grocery stores). You’ll gain exposure to sales strategy, data analysis, and customer relationship management, contributing to real business projects and learning how commercial decisions affect business growth.

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Upload and manage promotional activity in internal systems, ensuring accuracy and timely execution
  • Support the setup and tracking of rebates, investments, and promotional spend
  • Manage invoices, rebates, and promotional tracking, supporting audit processes
  • Turn data into actionable insights to support commercial decision-making
  • Prepare sales materials and presentations for internal and customer meetings
  • Maintain business plan trackers and update commercial documentation
  • Participate in select customer meetings to observe and support account management processes

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • Undergraduate student on a business-related degree, eligible for a year in industry
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a car would be desirable to support travel between sites, but not essential
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working in teams and building relationships
  • Proficient in handling data and systems; at ease with numbers and spreadsheets
  • Self-motivated, with an initiative-taking attitude and a willingness to learn in a challenging environment
  • Evidence of practical results in academic or extracurricular activities
  • Proficient organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Interest in retail, sales, and commercial operations in FMCG
