CASE partners with world class universities and not-for-profit organisations to offer a unique graduate training programme in fundraising. You will have the opportunity to launch your career at an organisation using the power of philanthropy to; help scientists find cures for major diseases; fund researchers developing solutions to poverty, inequality and environmental issues; and offer access to a university education to transform lives. As a fundraiser and part of a great development team, you will be working with academics, university staff and donors to achieve these goals, and more.

A bit about you

CASE Europe is looking for highly motivated graduates to participate in this successful programme to develop the fundraisers of the future.

You will be about to graduate or a recent graduate who has the ability to build relationships, is creative and has good communication and listening abilities with great organisational skills. You can demonstrate a keen interest in developing a professional career in fundraising. You can adapt to a variety of situations, have the perseverance to pursue goals and work collaboratively in a team. You must also be flexible to respond to the needs of a dynamic work environment and have excellent IT skills in Word, PowerPoint and Excel in order to effectively progress through this programme. Previous experience of fundraising activities is desirable but not essential.

The CASE Graduate Trainee Programme

Graduate trainees will work within each area of a fundraising office - gaining experience and developing skills in donor relations, prospect management, annual and regular giving, fundraising campaigns, major gifts, events and partnerships. Candidates will be fully immersed in the world of fundraising, project management and donor support within one of our partner organisations. You will be placed at institutions such as: Imperial College London, UCL, University of Bristol, London School of Economics, Cardiff University, King’s College London.

The breadth of the experience provides graduates with a fully rounded view of fundraising and the role it plays in supporting the institutions. For those looking for a career in fundraising, the CASE Graduate Trainee Programme is a great opportunity.

This is a fixed term contract. You will be employed by a host institution and partake in a hands-on training programme which will give you the opportunity to experience the full range of functions. You will learn the skills and knowledge to cultivate and manage philanthropic relationships as well as implement strategies to secure support. You will also work with external organisations, potential donors and develop an understanding of your organisation’s strategic goals and priorities.

You will be applying to the programme as a whole and we recommend that you are flexible about the location that you work in, however you will have the opportunity to state a preference which we will do our best to follow. The programme starts on 31st August 2021 with a week-long induction training event. Working on site at one of our partner university campuses or organisations, you will have support from both the host institution and CASE Europe who are managing the programme and provide formal training throughout the programme.
