About the role

We are seeking a Geophysical Surveyor to join our team in Shropshire.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of geophysical, hydrographic and geospatial projects, supporting clients across a variety of sectors. Working closely with the Principal Geophysicist and wider survey teams, you will be involved in data acquisition, processing, interpretation and project delivery while contributing to the continued development of LandScope’s geophysical capabilities.

We are interested in hearing from both experienced Geophysical Surveyors and graduates looking to start their career in the industry. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with modern survey technologies while developing their technical skills within a multi-disciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Acquire geophysical data across a range of survey projects
  • Process and interpret geophysical survey data
  • Assist the Principal Geophysicist with the development of geophysical processing workflows
  • Support initiatives to improve data acquisition and processing efficiency
  • Contribute to the expansion of LandScope’s geophysical survey capabilities
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of geophysical survey projects
  • Prepare survey outputs, deliverables and technical reports
  • Maintain survey equipment and ensure operational readiness
  • Support wider survey teams with topographical, utility mapping and hydrographic survey projects as required
  • Assist with survey data processing and project delivery across multiple disciplines

Skills, knowledge, and expertise

  • Relevant qualification in Geophysics, Geology, Geoscience, Surveying or a related discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Full UK driving licence
