Choosing where you start your career is one of the most important decisions you'll make. At DAC Beachcroft, we know how important it is to give you a customised experience throughout your training contract.  Not only do we provide a tailored development programme, which has been developed in line with the O-shaped lawyer principles, you'll also have support from our Learning & Development team and key Partners across the business.

The Role

During the two-year programme, DACB trainees will develop legal project management skills by participating in a ‘trainee shadow board’, work on real business development projects, attend tailored client relationship management modules, and learn more about how the firm’s business operates through a series of placements into Business Services teams.  The accompanying 13-month accredited data literacy diploma will prepare our trainees to make better decisions using data, incorporating six modules:  enabling great data conversations; storage, security and compliance; data integration and preparation; data storytelling; data-driven insights; and the growing digital world.

You'll have access to an extensive range of technical, professional and personal development resources, including face-to-face workshops, blended, e-learning and on-the-job training.  Many of our trainees also undertake secondments to clients as part of their development.

Our trainees tell us that they enjoy the firm's collaborative working environment which reflects our cultural principles – supportive, creative, determined, and clear.  There are also many opportunities to network with other trainees and other colleagues across our network, and to be part of wider firm projects and initiatives.

Requirements

While academic qualifications are important, this is not the whole story.  We are looking for people with the energy and the drive to succeed, as well as commercial acumen and leadership potential.  You will be a lateral thinker who welcomes and values different perspectives.

How to Apply

To apply for a Training Contract, you need a minimum of a 2:1 degree classification.  We are looking to appoint to start in September 2023 and will expect candidates looking to apply to be in a position to start their Training Contract at that time.

Our Vacation Scheme

Our vacation scheme gives you the opportunity to come and see what DAC Beachcroft is all about and provide you with a clear idea of what life as a trainee is really like.

Join us on a vacation scheme and you will be involved in a range of activities such as client meetings, social events and the opportunity to experience challenging work. Throughout your placement you will be surrounded by large and experienced teams, including a support network of trainees and supervisors. There will also be the opportunities to meet Regional Senior Partners and other Partners of the firm.

DAC Beachcroft runs a combined application process, with the vacation scheme forming part of the assessment process for training contract place.
