Our Emerging Talent Programme is a two-year graduate programme designed to give you strong technical foundations, real responsibility, and the support you need to grow your career at Enstar. Alongside your day-to-day role, you’ll follow a structured development plan that includes hands-on experience, learning opportunities, and exposure across the business. You’ll gain practical insight into how Enstar operates, work on meaningful projects, and develop skills that will set you up for long-term success. Throughout the programme, you’ll be supported with regular feedback, skills workshops, and mentoring from a senior manager, helping you build confidence and progress at pace.

About the Role

As a Capital Modelling Graduate, you’ll join Enstar’s Capital Modelling team, where data, analysis, and judgement come together to support key business decisions.

You’ll work alongside experienced colleagues to understand how capital models are used in a re/insurance environment and how they inform solvency, risk management and strategic activity. This role is well-suited to graduates who enjoy working with numbers, problem-solving, and translating analysis into clear insights.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting a range of capital modelling activities. Your work may include:

  • Assisting with capital adequacy and solvency calculations, including preparing inputs and performing sense checks
  • Supporting capital models and tools, including those used to assess transactions and business changes
  • Helping validate model outputs through reconciliations, analysis, and documentation
  • Preparing reports, exhibits and presentations to summarise results for internal stakeholders
  • Working closely with teams across Finance, Risk, Investments, Treasury and M&A to understand the wider business context
  • Contributing to improvements in modelling processes, controls, and automation

You’ll be encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, and take increasing ownership as you build your confidence and capability.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

We’re looking for graduates who are curious, motivated, and keen to learn. You don’t need prior insurance experience; we’ll support your development from day one.

You’ll likely have:

  • A degree in a numerical or analytical discipline such as Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Engineering or Computer Science
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Comfort working with data, particularly in Excel, and confidence presenting clear outputs
  • An interest in capital modelling, risk, or financial analysis within a business setting
  • The ability to communicate clearly and work well with others, including across different teams and locations
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Python or programming is an advantage, but not essential.

Our Benefits

We offer a competitive benefits package to support your wellbeing and development, including:

  • A generous pension contribution
  • Private medical and dental insurance options
  • A wellness allowance to support your physical and mental wellbeing
  • Access to employee assistance and wellbeing programmes
  • One paid volunteer day each year
