Our Emerging Talent Programme is a two-year graduate programme designed to give you strong technical foundations, real responsibility, and the support you need to grow your career at Enstar. Alongside your day-to-day role, you’ll follow a structured development plan that includes hands-on experience, learning opportunities, and exposure across the business. You’ll gain practical insight into how Enstar operates, work on meaningful projects, and develop skills that will set you up for long-term success. Throughout the programme, you’ll be supported with regular feedback, skills workshops, and mentoring from a senior manager, helping you build confidence and progress at pace.
About the Role
As a Data Scientist Graduate, you’ll join Enstar’s Data team, using data and analytical techniques to support better decision‑making across the business. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals to explore datasets, develop insights, and support machine learning initiatives. This role suits graduates who enjoy working with data, solving complex problems, and translating analysis into clear business insights.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting a range of capital modelling activities. Your work may include:
- Analysing large datasets to identify trends and opportunities
- Supporting machine learning models and statistical analysis
- Working with technical teams to prepare and improve data quality
- Helping communicate insights through reports and presentations
- Learning and applying responsible data and AI practices
You’ll be encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, and take increasing ownership as you build your confidence and capability.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
We’re looking for graduates who are curious, motivated, and keen to learn. You don’t need prior insurance experience; we’ll support your development from day one.
You’ll likely have:
- A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline
- Confidence working with data and analytical tools
- Clear communication skills and curiosity about how data supports decisions
- A proactive approach to learning and development
- An interest in programming or machine learning (experience is a plus, not essential)
