Shape the future of public infrastructure.
Programme overview
Our team works across the full transaction life cycle, delivering operational due diligence, integration/divestiture planning, value creation and operational turnaround for corporate and private equity clients. By helping clients unlock value and navigate transformative moments, you’ll solve complex business challenges, shape strategic outcomes and create lasting impact as a Shaper of the future at every stage of the deal journey. Along the way, you’ll also work towards a recognised Chartered Institute of Management Accountants – Certificate in Business Accounting (CIMA CBA) qualification.

What you will be doing
- Gaining exposure to the deal/investment “engine” including the diligence process, valuation process, stakeholders involved, bidder meetings and the deal negotiation process.
- Supporting one of the many sectors we engage with on a daily basis, such as Private Equity; Technology, Media and Telecom and Consumer, Health, Sciences and Wellbeing.
- Assisting with wider practice development tasks from recruitment through to learning and development.
- Supporting improvement in businesses, identifying opportunities to realise incremental value.
Eligibility for applying
You’ll need a minimum Grade C/Level 4 GCSE (or equivalent) in both English Language and Maths, three A-levels/5 Highers (or equivalent), and an Honours Degree in any subject by the programme start date. We’re also looking for individuals who can demonstrate strong analytical thinking skills.
While we welcome applications from candidates of all academic backgrounds, we are looking to recruit individuals who will succeed at EY in the role and future qualifications. We have completed several studies on academic attainment at A-level (or equivalents), candidate performance in the online assessments in the EY recruitment process, and how that predicts future performance at EY.
Throughout the recruitment process, we therefore assess your suitability for the EY role you have applied to by considering your scores in the online assessments and your academic attainment at A-level or equivalent. This approach is designed to ensure our joiners are successful in role and, where relevant, in the achievement of their professional qualifications. It is important to EY, and we have a duty of care which we take very seriously, to ensure our joiners are set up for long-term success.
