Shape the future of mobility and reward programmes for clients and their people and build trust in global businesses.
Programme overview
On the Integrated Workforce Mobility Summer Internship, you’ll shape the future with confidence by helping clients place the right people in the right place at the right time, enabling global growth and development of key talent that builds trust and confidence. You’ll work in high-performing teams across the EY global network, advising clients on managing and rewarding a globally mobile workforce while applying professional judgement.
Core skills for success
- Collaboration - thrive in inclusive teams and build relationships across the EY network, to bring a global perspective to the work you do for your clients to strengthen outcomes.
- Analytical thinking - use data, technology, professional expertise and judgement to deliver insights others can rely on.
- Curiosity and motivation - develop your potential by continuously learning and adapting to change.
- Integrity - act with confidence and accountability to become a trusted adviser and protect trust in business and society.
What you will be doing
- Help clients and their employees to make the most of an international assignment, relocation or work experience. Change their perception of the world, their career and the possibilities that are open to them, their families and the societies where they will live and work.
- Implement and operate the technology and data platforms to help clients identify, manage and comply with the tax, payroll, immigration and other risks arising from their global mobility programmes and cross-border remote workforce.
- Work on client engagements that help build trust and confidence in the reporting of pay, benefits and the reward packages they deliver to their people.
- Develop your skills through hands‑on experience, coaching and learning to become a leader of the future.
- Help organisations to evolve their compensation packages so that they can attract, retain, motivate and excite the right people, whilst complying with required tax and regulatory requirements.
Please note: Due to UK policies, you must be based in the UK for the entire duration of the programme.
Eligibility for applying
If you’re in your penultimate year, or if you’re already in your final year but will be doing a one-year Master’s degree, or taking a gap year, this internship is for you.
While we welcome applications from candidates of all academic backgrounds, we are looking to recruit individuals who will succeed at EY in the role and future qualifications. We have completed several studies on academic attainment at A-level (or equivalents), candidate performance in the online assessments in the EY recruitment process, and how that predicts future performance at EY.
Throughout the recruitment process, we therefore assess your suitability for the EY role you have applied to by considering your scores in the online assessments and your academic attainment at A-level or equivalent. This approach is designed to ensure our joiners are successful in role and, where relevant, in the achievement of their professional qualifications. It is important to EY, and we have a duty of care which we take very seriously, to ensure our joiners are set up for long-term success.
We are also proud to partner with RARE recruitment, so that your application can be processed in the context of your socio-economic background. This allows us to give you the maximum credit for your achievements, assessing whether you have overachieved in light of your personal circumstances.
