Your impact
As an Energy Analyst Intern you will be introduced to FactSet’s current oil, natural gas, and power market offerings and participate in expanding those offerings to meeting FactSet’s growing client base. This will include working directly on natural gas and power (wind, solar, nuclear, etc) datasets.

We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable candidate to join us in expanding our energy coverage in Europe. It is imperative that the individual for this role be self-starting, curious, and resilient, comfortable with ambiguity and eager to embrace the unique challenge of developing expertise in a potentially unfamiliar industry. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong initiative and a proactive mindset, independently seeking out answers where knowledge may be limited.
In this role, you will be responsible for applying creative problem-solving skills to navigate uncharted areas of study and confidently present your findings and suggestions to the team. Understanding how our clients use our data and analysis is critical for our firm's success; therefore, a keen interest in learning about client applications is essential.
What we’re looking for
- Penultimate year student studying Physics, Applied Mathematics, Power Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or similar.
- Experience in Python, SQL, and/or R is preferred.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Proactive nature, willingness to learn, and capacity for taking ownership of tasks.
- Ability to synthesize and concisely communicate the rationale behind decisions.
