About the programme

Programme Length: Two years 

Programme Type: Rotational 

Our Regulatory graduate scheme offers broad experience across regulation giving you opportunities across multiple areas of the FCA. The programme will prepare you for a future in our Regulatory profession, where you can work across a number of our divisions: Authorisations, Policy, Supervision, Market Oversight, Enforcement and Risk Management & Compliance experiencing the breadth of the regulatory life cycle. We’ll support you to build technical expertise of financial services, understand regulatory frameworks, and protect consumers through ensuring market integrity.

On your FCA graduate programme, you will develop core skills in Judgment, Engagement, Self-Management and Delivery. Across your rotations, you could be supporting vulnerable consumers, conducting investigations, developing our strategy or supervising firms. The FCA gives you the opportunity to shape your career whilst  developing with purpose.   

Your first two rotations will be shared with you before you join us, they have been selected to support you in building your skills, knowledge and experience across financial services, setting you up for success in your career with us. Your career goals and interests will be considered when your final rotation is selected, supporting your aspirations, and the FCA’s strategy.

Learning and development

As a graduate on our Regulatory Programme, you’ll be able to undertake formal learning aligned to your development goals. This will form part of your ongoing development in the second year of your programme.

Alongside this, you will be part of a development programme with your early careers peers from the day you join.  The programme is designed to empower you and help you excel in a complex and dynamic environment. Centred on the FCA values such as self-sufficiency, resilience, ambition, engagement, and integrity, the programme encourages purposeful action, accountable decision-making, and impactful delivery within the public interest. We will help you build personal effectiveness, advance professionally, and have a meaningful contribution whilst on programme and in your future career.
