Education required: Bachelor’s or Masters Degree with high analytical content, for example, economics, or health economics, statistics, public health, epidemiology, pharmacy/pharmacology, sciences, clinical sciences, research/social sciences (including Philosophy), Psychology or engineering.

Are you a graduate with strong analytical skills who has a passion to open-up access of new medicines to patients?

The UK Health Outcomes team works closely with our cross functional product teams to set the strategy for reimbursement decisions in the UK. It then provides the economic evidence to enable informed decisions to be made by the UK health service, leading to patient access to GSK’s medicines and vaccines. Our Health Outcomes team is responsible for understanding the environment externally and within the company and using evidence to demonstrate the value of our medicines and services to the health service. You will learn to provide technical knowledge in health economics, outcomes research and UK national payer requirements to demonstrate value.

Over two years, our Future Leaders Programme will challenge and support you to grow professionally and personally. You’ll have rotations that give you experience in different areas of health outcomes and health economics, and across therapy areas.
 

Your rotations will be stretching, but we’ll support you every step of the way with formal and informal learning, as well as coaching. You’ll improve your communication, analytical and influencing skills while gaining valuable leadership training in the healthcare industry. You will have the opportunity to work in different therapy areas and on a range of medicines
 

Your rotations will be challenging, but we’ll support you with formal and informal learning, as well as coaching and mentoring. You will improve your communication, analytical and influencing skills, and gain commercial awareness and experience support your continued development.

 

What will you do?

  • You will be contributing to Health Technology Appraisal (HTA) submissions
  • You’ll update and develop economic models
  • You will support evidence generation activities
  • You will have input into publication activities
  • You will develop your project management skills
  • You will work with cross functional teams to build materials used to facilitate market access and uptake of medicines
  • You will present and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You may be involved with the Global VEO team during a placement on a pipeline product
  • Opportunity to work on launch products
  • On the job learning across the GSK portfolio, in a variety of therapeutic areas

Our Future Leaders Graduate Programme is designed to accelerate the development of graduates who don’t have significant previous professional work experience in the area to which they are applying.  Of course, many graduates who join the program have worked while studying or after graduation.  If you’ve already developed substantial experience working in a professional role in your sector, while you would be able to apply for this program, you may also want to look at direct entry roles in our businesses, as these may be the best way to build on your existing skills and expertise and develop a career at GSK.
