About the Scheme
As our firm evolves, we are continually seeking to expand our base of talented professionals through our early careers recruitment programme. This process starts with our summer Internship programme, with offers for full-time Analyst roles (commencing the following July after the internship) extended to exceptional Summer Interns.
Given the start date of full-time Analyst roles, the Greenhill Summer Internship is primarily targeted at students in their penultimate year of study, although final-year students are welcome to apply too. We welcome applicants from any degree background.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for bright, enthusiastic individuals who can demonstrate excellence in all areas, a genuine preference for Greenhill and a strong interest in the industry. You will have exceptional academic credentials – on track for at least a 2.1 (or equivalent) – as well as:
- A strong work ethic and resilient nature, with the ability to perform well under pressure
- A keen eye for detail, strong numerical ability and logical reasoning
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly
- Demonstrable commercial awareness and a real interest in the industry

Finding Talented Individuals
Our application process has been designed to assess the skills required for the role, and to get to know more about you and your motivations for joining Greenhill. The process follows a few key stages that include face-to-face interviewing and online testing.
If you haven’t already, we recommend attending one of our events to hear more about the programme, life at the firm and the process before making your application. These can be found on our Events page. Places are limited. We remain open as to the location of our applicants and we encourage all to apply to the internship programme, even if you can’t attend the events. Please note that we welcome applications from all degree backgrounds.
