The Junior Product Owner will sit within the Technology team and work with in-house resources and outsourced development partners. The individual will identify areas of improvement and consistently deliver high-value projects.
Responsibilities
- Product management
- Work closely with our developers to ensure constant product improvement.
- Manage, collate and prioritise backlog items to create market-driven change.
- Communicate with key stakeholders.
- Run proof of concepts to quickly test the value of future changes.
- Conduct user acceptance testing to ensure any new features are of the highest quality before reaching our customers.
- Projects
- Determine ways in which we can leverage automation to reduce time spent on tasks.
- Remain on the cutting-edge of relevant tools/technologies.
- Help analyse existing processes and find ways to improve them.
- Work with stakeholders from across the business to improve the product.
- Analytics / data insight
- Derive insight from large amounts of data to make better informed product decisions.
- Liaise with the insight team and produce technical specifications for reports and dashboards.
Success measures
- Measurement of the quality and timeliness of delivery to ensure quality standards, KPIs and service levels are met.
- Building positive relationships with in-house resources and outsourced partners to further business objectives.
- Clearly reporting on change and its impacts to internal stakeholders.
- Review, define and implement processes to drive continuous improvement.
What we are looking for
A STEM degree with up to 2 years experience in a Product-base role.
Demonstratable experience of Product skills including specification writing, wireframing, testing, design, prototyping and improving the overall development process.
Experience in defining and shipping features for digital products, preferably in a SaaS environment.
- Proven experience using Agile principles for the delivery of technology programmes.
- Proven experience of balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity in a highly complex, diverse and changing environment.
- Excellent people skills and demonstrable emotional intelligence.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly and concisely document plans and deliverables.
- Outstanding problem solving, communication and presentational skills, confident and methodical approach, and able to work within a team environment.
- Experience working with an external development partner.
- Experience with data products with SQL backends.
- Preferably have experience in the Microsoft Azure Stack.
- Coding experience would be a plus (though it's not part of the job)

Salary: £ 35,000 per annum + bonus
