The SMART Sports department is responsible for delivering ourSMART product across a wide range of sporting applications both in the UK and globally. Major projects currently involve Rugby, Basketball, Baseball and Athletics, with significant potential to expand out to new areas and deliver innovative solutions to a wider range of sports.
What does a Systems Operator do
- Installation and setup of Hawk-Eye technology in the build-up to matches, and performing pre-match checks (this can involve physically demanding work, such as rigging cameras and running cables);
- Liaise with key stakeholders from broadcasters companies, match officials and teams to ensure all contractual obligations are seamlessly delivered;
- Monitoring and operating Hawk-Eye technologies during matches;
- Providing quick resolutions for any technical issues;
- Work in a variety of environments; within Hawk-Eye teams and independently, across onsite, office-based or remote opportunities;
- Taking full responsibility for our system on-site and representing our company in the best possible manner;
- Research and development into new projects and technologies;
- Maintenance of kit and equipment needed to run the system.
What are we looking for from you

- A dedicated willingness to learn and develop;

- Ability to work under pressure;

- Flexible and willing to travel extensively;
- Ideally studying for a degree in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics course / High standard of computer literacy with a technical understanding;
- Knowledge of Rugby / Athletics / Basketball would be an asset!

Our response to COVID 19
During this time Team Hawk-Eye is working in a hybrid manner for all of our Head Office roles. Our operational teams are working onsite, Pioneering & Inspiring Change in Sport every day!
- Head Office Teams: We are currently working through a blend of in-person interactions (typically two days per week) and remote activity.
- Operational Teams: Our operational teams are working on-site to ensure we can provide the highest level of service to our clients. We are taking the current guidance extremely seriously and are ensuring that the health, safety and well-being of our employees are at the highest standard.
