The Internship Programme will run for a period of 12 weeks, Monday 22nd June 2026 Friday 11th September 2026. Please ensure you can fully commit to this timeframe.

About the job

This role is part of the Surveillance division within Compliance, which is responsible for monitoring transactions and communications to identify potential misconduct including market abuse and financial crimes, such as money laundering, fraud terrorist financing, bribery and corruption. Surveillance use a combination of controls both automated and manual, designed to detect patterns of behaviour that require review and escalation.

Key responsibilities

You will support the Surveillance team in their day to day activities, including conducting surveillance and investigations across payments, trading activity, voice, and electronic communications, with a focus on financial crime and market conduct risks.

Key responsibilities will include assisting with the review of surveillance and the execution of investigations, supporting business as usual (BAU) activities in line with established procedures, contributing to new Surveillance initiatives and projects, and helping to review, maintain, and update relevant documentation, policies, and process guidelines.

What you'll need to be successful

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to analyse and manipulate data
  • A proactive mindset looking for ways to enhance and improve controls
  • Be a good communicator
  • Language skill Mandarin (preffered but not essential)
