Division Summary
The Global Markets division of ICBCS offers sales, structuring and trading expertise to our clients across a range of products, with particular strengths in Emerging Markets. The Global Markets division comprises of two core businesses, namely Commodities and Fixed Income and Currencies (FIC).
The Commodities business provides trading, sales, working capital solutions and structuring expertise through its Metals and Energy teams. The division's expertise extends to the management and financing of physical commodity inventories across these asset classes.
The FIC business offers a comprehensive set of foreign exchange, interest rates, credit, money markets, capital markets and structured financing products.
Our clients include financial institutions, corporations, governments and institutional investors around the world.
Commodities Team
Metals:
ICBC Standard Bank is a leader in providing commodity financing and trading services to a global client base. We are large trader of physical metals and energy, and execute both OTC and exchange traded derivatives from offices in London, Singapore, Shanghai and New York. We offer our clients a range structured financing, trading and risk management solutions.
This will be a front office role, reporting to the Commodity Strategist in London. The role will encompass:
- Analysis and support to ICBC Standard Bank's commodities and global markets management, with input to business planning, strategic projects, and new product initiatives.
- Insight into short term or temporary commodity market dislocations
- Analysis and strategic interpretation of supply/demand trends
- Sector and client-specific reviews and recommendations
- Thematic reports and opinion pieces with commercial conclusions
- Marketing chart packs, internal and external presentations
- Contribution to specific initiatives with our shareholders: Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and Standard Bank Group of South Africa.
Energy:
