Make a difference every day!
Invesco is driven by a pure focus on investment. It’s all we do. We focus on doing work that matters and being a firm that gives a voice to every employee. In fact, we make a promise to our clients and each other to create greater possibilities together. We’re looking for people who have new perspectives. Who can come together to share ideas, listen and challenge each other to achieve better solutions for our clients.
We are proud to be a part of the Investment 20/20 initiative, and we are delighted to invite you to apply for a 12 month placement with us. We offer entry level work experiences that will inspire and challenge you!
These are traineeships, so we are specifically looking for results-oriented graduates with an interest in Fixed Income. You’ll have the chance to play an active role and contribute to the success of the function.
Your Team
Invesco Fixed Income (IFI) is keenly focused on helping clients meet their investment objectives. IFI’s investment approach emphasises proprietary research and focuses on fundamental valuation to support the active management of our clients’ portfolios. ESG integration is strongly consistent with and has become a key facet of our overall investment focus. At Invesco Fixed Income, we take a unique, collaborative approach to investment management.
Your Role
You’ll be supporting the Investment Management team with tasks relating to portfolio management and analysis, specifically within the Credit Analysis team. You could be producing the sort of data and reporting that will directly contribute to investment decisions and you’ll learn a lot about financial markets and the entire investment process.
Sound exciting? You’ll need some strong numeracy skills for this one, and some knowledge of economics, preferably obtained from your degree. A clear interest in the investment management industry and some experience with Excel as a data manipulation tool would also be useful. We’re looking for people with genuine intellectual curiosity, who can think critically and commercially, as well as being able to work both independently and as part of our diverse and successful team.
How to Apply
Whilst a CV is important, we’d also like to get to know you as more than just a name on a piece of paper, which is why we’re asking you to address some questions that are important to us in a Word or PDF document:
- What interests you about a career in Fixed Income within Investment Management?
- Introduce us to a topic you know about and tell us why it interests you
- What is the most significant learning experience you’ve had?
- What global economic themes interest you the most?
- Tell us about your proudest achievement
This is a great opportunity for you to shine, to set yourself apart from the competition and to help us better understand your motivations!
Unfortunately, we will not be able to consider your application without this submission.
Applications close on Friday 25th March and the Investment 20/20 programme commences in September 2022.
