To support our pipeline of future top talent we are now pleased to welcome applications for our 2024 Graduate Programme focusing on the areas of Communications, Public Affairs and Patient Advocacy.
Programme details
The programme is set to start in the summer 2024 and will run for 18 months. This Ipsen Graduate Programme position offers a unique opportunity for ambitious candidates straight out of university or within 24 months of course/programme completion. In this role you will become an integral member of the UK & Ireland External Affairs team, supporting the generation and implementation of Ipsen’s strategy and tactical plan around Communications, Public Affairs, and Patient Advocacy.
The focus of the position will be to develop expertise across Communications, Public Affairs, and Patient Advocacy, with key activities including:
- Project management of key Communications, Public Affairs, and Patient Advocacy initiatives
- Coordination of key aspects of Ipsen’s public-facing channels
- Drafting materials for internal and external communications, ensuring approval of these prior to use in line with the ABPI Code of Practice
- Planning and delivery of internal communications and policy initiatives and staff events
- Working with the Public Affairs team to deliver activities relating to key brands and corporate issues
- Supporting delivery of events which enhance Ipsen’s corporate reputation
- Undertaking research into key policy issues related to Ipsen’s product portfolio and developing briefing materials for staff
- Supporting Ipsen’s work with trade associations including the ABPI and EMG, including researching and developing talking points and attending meetings on behalf of Ipsen.
Qualifications & experience
You will hold or be on target to achieve a 2:1 or higher degree in Politics, International Relations, Public Relations, Journalism, English (Language or Literature or both), History, Sociology, Psychology, Public Policy, Health Economics, Social Policy by September 2024. Furthermore, you will possess a desire to forge a career in biopharmaceutical industry, and a keen interest in Communications, Public Relations, Public Affairs, Policy, Government Affairs, and/or Patient Advocacy.
You will need to be fluent in English and have a maximum of two years’ postgraduate professional experience.
