Responsibilities
The Strategic Advisory Group is one of the most experienced investment banking teams in the industry, and has been involved in some of the largest, most complex transactions of the past few years. Our global team focuses on a diverse set of industries, including technology media telecommunications, energy, power & utilities, industrials, healthcare, real estate gaming and leisure, and consumer retail.
The strategic capital markets advisory team is an extremely active and fast-growing group within pjt, advising clients across the entire capital structure from debt under all formats (leveraged finance, private credit, infrastructure financing) through to equity (pre-ipo investment, growth equity and ipo advisory), as well as more structured solutions. The team is based across the New York, London and Dubai offices with frequent collaboration across regions.
The London team has been active on some of the most high-profile transactions in the market over the recent past, including for Allwyn, Aggreko, ASDA, ASOS, Arrow Global, Alstom, DIA, EG Group, EGYM, EIP, Job&Talent, and Porsche SE (amongst others). As an intern analyst in the strategic capital markets advisory team, you will sit within the advisory group but also work frequently with the restructuring and special situations group who advise companies, financial sponsors and creditor groups in financially distressed situations.
- Analysts within the Capital Markets Advisory Group work directly with public and private companies across all stages of growth and project work includes evaluating, structuring, recommending and executing financing alternatives across the capital structure, across debt and equity
- The team sits at the fulcrum of PJT’s M&A and Restructuring franchises, thereby offering unparalleled exposure to clients and senior bankers, as well as exceptional deal-flow
- Day-to-day responsibilities include analysing capital structures and cashflow models, credit documents and indentures; facilitating due diligence and discussions with companies, legal counsel and advisors; ratings analyses; and direct interaction with clients, banks and funds on capital raising transactions
- Analysts receive broad-based exposure to the full spectrum of complex issues that arise in capital markets transactions, including capital raising through both the public and private markets, mergers and acquisitions, growth financing, asset-level financing and others
Qualifications

Requirements
To be considered for the 2026 Off-Cycle Intern Analyst Programme applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled as a fulltime university student or a recent graduate
- Available to start Full Time from September 2026
- Graduation date no later than June 2026
- CV must include expected graduation monthyear and grades
- Prior internships in investment banking are not necessary but will be looked upon favourably
