Planning Department Summary
This is an exciting role within the Planning Team at Starcom working on the Samsung account. The Planning team at Starcom build relationships with clients, partners, and internal and external colleagues to deliver powerful work that will grow our clients’ businesses. Our goal is to become our clients’ most indispensable partners by building roadmaps with them that will identify quickest paths to growth. We work most closely with our Strategy, Digital Data & Tech, Investment and Performance teams to ensure smooth management of the business overall. We put great emphasis in landing our powerful Human Experience proposition through the use of intelligence-led systems and data.
As for a bit more on the client, Samsung is one of the world’s most loved brands. Their annual UK media spend is c£120 Million across all media channels. Samsung is an extremely fast-paced client and there is a genuine client expectation for brilliant and innovative media thinking.
Role Summary
This role is to work across the Samsung Mobile division, which covers campaigns for their Smartphones, Tablets, Smartwatches, Headphones and Laptops. You will be involved in helping to deliver the best possible media plans and reporting to Samsung. From briefing at the very beginning, through to activation, delivery and post campaign analysis.
Working closely with the Account Manager on the team, you will be tacking deliverables ranging from budget management, campaign reporting, competitor monitoring and building media plans and recommendations for clients. You will quickly learn and gain the confidence to lead client facing deliverables/presentations, reinforcing you as an integral part of the client team.
As an Account Executive in the media planning team, you have three overarching responsibilities that directly relate to our agency Growth Pillars and internal Expectations Framework.
Growth for Clients: our goal is to create brilliant experiences that drive faster growth for our clients, and you will work with various teams within the broader Publicis Media organisation to do so. Specific responsibilities are:
- Understand all relevant systems and tools
- Show proactivity and interest in client's business, sharing category news and information with team
- Nail brilliant basics in terms of organising meetings, team admin, clear contact reports
Develop a Growth Team: You will have the chance to be a major contributor in shaping the culture of the teams that work in the agency. Specifically:

Drive Growth for Starcom: You are an ambassador for the Starcom brand and will be part of helping us build an exceptional reputation both within Publicis Groupe and with external partners. Specifically:
- Support Account Manager in delivering absolute financial accuracy and PO management
- Build Starcom's internal operational reputation through diligence on all reporting, timesheets etc
- Build Starcom's reputation, positive relationships with media owners and partner agencies
Qualifications
- Experience in Excel and PowerPoint
- Passion for all things media and advertising is a must.
- High levels of attention to detail.
- Proactivity and initiative.
- Confidence in working with numbers/data/excel.
