Quorn Foods are delighted to be recruiting for a Graduate Tax Accountant to join our finance team based in Leeds.
What you’ll be responsible for
Supporting our in-house Senior Tax Manager, you will ensure that the Group meets its legal obligations in respect of all taxes, with a specific focus on VAT. You will ensure the timely and accurate preparation and submission of VAT, intrastat and EC sales returns for the Group’s UK and European entities.
You will work closely with the third-party VAT compliance advisors and maintain good working relationships with departments across the business in order to do this.
The duties also include monthly reconciliation of VAT returns and balance sheets, answering general internal VAT queries, identifying and correcting any VAT issues, improving processes and controls and answering other tax queries as and when they arise.
The position will be based from our Leeds office circa 2-3 days per week along with the opportunity to work flexibly/remotely when required.
What experience you’ll need to have
- Recent or upcoming graduate in finance and accountancy, with a keen interest in specialising in a tax focused role
- Ambition to work towards a recognised accountancy qualification such as ACA, CTA, ACCA or ATT
- Appreciation of VAT compliance in a large company or accounting firm
- Ability to analyse large sets of data and prepare monthly reconciliations

- 1st Stage - 30-45 minute Microsoft Teams introductory call with our Senior Tax Manager & Resourcing Partner
- 2nd Stage - in-person interview and task with key stakeholders from our team
