    What it's all about

    Santander UK's Treasury function manages a diverse range of financial and market risks that derive from our customer balance sheet ensuring it remains strong and stable. 

    The treasury function has responsibility for managing Liquidity, Funding, Capital, and Interest Rate Risk; producing economic forecasts; issuing wholesale debt and capital market instruments; liaising with investors; and managing our Recovery and Resolution Planning. 

    We are also responsible for associated prudential regulatory requirements, and for running the bank's Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process and Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process.

    Within our graduate programme you will experience the full end to end Treasury function, from Liquidity or Capital Planning, to executing wholesale market transactions, to facilitating the clearing and settlement of wholesale trades.

    What you'll be doing

    During the programme, you’ll benefit from three yearly rotational placements, which’ll give you a good understanding of different areas of Treasury. Specifically, you can look forward to:

    • Experiencing the full end to end Treasury function, from Liquidity or Capital Planning, to executing wholesale market transactions, to facilitating the clearing and settlement of wholesale trades.
    • Learning the essentials of an ever-evolving regulatory environment
    • Developing the skills and leadership abilities needed for a successful career with us
    • Owning and managing your day-to-day activities
    • Working closely with industry professionals from across all areas of the business

    Where you'll be working

    This role is based in our London office  and our current expectation is at least 2 days in an office every week.

    What we're looking for in you

    • A Bachelors degree in any discipline, as well as 112 UCAS points (top 3 A Level grades or equivalent excluding General Studies and Extended Project)
    • Excellent numerical and writing skills, and the ability to create strong business relationships
    • A genuine passion for Treasury and a motivation to stay up to speed with key industry trends 
    • A positive, can-do attitude with a hunger to learn and develop
    • A proven collaborative approach to work
    • The confidence to share ideas and embrace change
