    Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.

    Lightworks now form the Centre of Excellence for Visualization inside the Siemens Digital Industries Software division. With specialisms in 3D graphics, ray tracing, virtual reality, games engines and UI, the Lightworks team supports advanced visualisation usage across the world-leading Siemens product design software range and directly with end users.

    What we’re looking For

    As a recent graduate, or as someone who’s opted for a placement within their degree course, you will be looking to start your career as a technical 3D Artist with an eye for visualisation using immersive software. Your degree must contain a high level of visualisation content and you should be able to provide an exceptional portfolio showcasing your artistic skills. Additionally, you will have an understanding and interest of how visualisation is managed within real-time technology to achieve high quality results. This role is paid, available for one year, and offers a fantastic opportunity to work on real visualisation-related projects in an exciting and varied real-time environment.

    Reporting to the Creative Team Manager, you will be responsible for asset creation, both to support visual-based marketing material created by the company, as well as within the delivered products; additionally, providing technical artistic support to developers utilising immersive technology.

    What you’ll be doing

    Our role has two primary objectives: we utilise the company’s products to assist in creating stunning images, animations and marketing materials; and to generate digital assets and resources for use within the products themselves along with guidance on how these should be configured. We are also internal users of new products and provide testing and feedback to the development team.

    Siemens’ 3D Artists produce the highest quality marketing material for both internal and external customers as well as assisting marketing campaigns and sales opportunities. As a Siemens visualisation expert, you’ll provide feedback on internal products on usability and feature set, and may deliver webinars, blog posts, user training and presentations on how best to use the visualisation within the product range.
