    What you’ll be doing  

    During this 12-month programme, you’ll experience four two-month rotations across Sky Sports before choosing one of those teams to join for the final four months. This unique experience to rotate departments will allow you to find out where your true talents lie before choosing one of these teams to join for your final four months.

    This opportunity allows you to experience the many and varied roles across our department that all play an important part in making sports come to life. Sky Sports, Sky Sports News and Sky Production Services are the place to work if you would like a career in sports media.

    This programme gives you an opportunity to find out more about them and perhaps uncover some roles that you didn’t even know existed. The areas that you could experience are: 

    • Junior Journalist
    • Junior Assistant Producer
    • Junior Social Media/ Video Producer
    • MSO (Multi Skilled Operator)  
    • Digital Video Junior AP 
    • Sky Sports News Planning
    • Sky Sports News Production.

    Based at our Osterley HQ, you will discover what it takes to produce our live sports and sports news content on all of our platforms from the experienced teams that bring to life our award-winning sports coverage. Note this programme will include working in shift patterns.

    • This role is based in Osterley, West London.
    • Programme duration is 12 months.
    • Expected start October 2023.

    What we’re looking for

    This programme is aimed at anyone aged 18 or over by 15th October 2023 that is not currently studying at university or a graduate.

    Your application journey

    Step 1 - Complete our application form by entering your details and academic information - don't forget to include any previous work or experience that you've had. As part of the form, you'll be asked a number of questions to find out what you know about Sky and why you've applied to this specific programme.

    Step 2 - You'll be invited to complete a digital assessment. This stage will ask you a number of different scenarios to look at how you respond in specific situations. We’ll be looking at your behavioural and cognitive strengths. Responses to these questions vary from written answers, to recorded video.

    Step 3 - For the final stage of your application, we’ll invite you to a digital assessment centre and give you some tasks to get to know you better. The day will give you a practical insight into the role and will assess your Sky fit for TV and media. Once you’ve completed your assessment day, we’ll let you know when you can expect to hear back from us.
