This is a Planning Technician/Graduate position providing an opportunity to work alongside planning officers and help drive forward a wide range of planning projects and proposals, delivering the Council's ambitious strategic planning and placemaking agenda.

You will support and assist planning officers on a wide range of interesting projects, including through research activities, site surveys, public engagement, digital mapping and administrative support. This includes as part of preparing the new Swansea Local Development Plan (LDP2); producing planning guidance on key topics; monitoring and assessing planning delivery; and supporting regeneration projects that are breathing new life into key sites and buildings across Swansea.
The post is an excellent opportunity for a recent planning graduate to join the department, as well as experienced administrative and technical support officers with an understanding of the planning system.
