Our team contributes to these goals, as part of the L&H Technical Accounting team, supporting the management of reinsurance client data provided data via Electronic Data Interchange.

We require a Data Management Specialist to support the transformation of client policy and claims data into a standardized format suitable for loading to our corporate data warehouse. This data is subsequently utilized by our internal partners to support a wide range of operational and financial reporting activities.

About the Role

As a Data Analyst you will have responsibility for the end to end mapping of reinsurance data including:

  • Analysis of client data content including interpretation of product information and alignment to Swiss Re treaties and systems.
  • Map to Swiss Re formats and standards. Code and unit test mapping routines to transform the data.
  • System and user testing including integration with our other applications.
  • Ongoing system support and maintenance for relevant applications.
  • Collaboration with Clients, Business and IT Teams to ensure implementation are in line with business priorities and requirements.
  • Ability to understand and meet end to end Data Governance requirements and to manage sensitive data effectively.
  • Working closely with clients, actuarial teams and other Swiss Re users to maintain quality and integrity of the data being captured
  • Provide regular feedback and suggestions for improving the efficiency of our internal processes and procedures

About You

  • You will be educated to at least A Level Standard, preferably in science subjects.
  • You are able to demonstrate sound analyst experience, preferably in an Insurance Environment.
  • You bring good knowledge of Office applications with advanced level skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Your SQL experience would be an advantage, as would an understanding of ETL concepts and standards.
  • You have strong mathematical skills, with demonstrable ability to organize, analyze and disseminate significant volumes of data with a high focus on attention to detail and accuracy.
  • You possess accomplished interpersonal skills, and have the ability to collaborate effectively and influence both internal and external clients.
  • You are delivery focused, team player able to prioritize and self-manage activities ensuring quality and timeliness of project delivery.
  • You consider yourself to be enthusiastic, self-motivated and innovative.
  • You take a pragmatic approach to problem solving and have strong decision-making skills.
