We want our customers to be inspired and we’re finding bigger and better ways to provide it, using technology to drive innovation and deliver our vision to become the world’s leading retailer. You’ll be the voice of our customer from day one, solving customer problems, defining product roadmaps and building products that could affect millions of people across the world for years to come.

You’ll quickly discover that the variety of products we build, and the scale at which we deliver, is immense. You could be redesigning the grocery home shopping website to improve customer satisfaction or making sure our 100,000 daily deliveries to customers arrive on time, with the right products available for our customers on the shelf.

During your paid, 10-week programme, you’ll have broad responsibilities and every day may be different. From holding workshops with stakeholders, writing user stories, or getting feedback from customers and data analysis, you’ll prioritise development with evidence-based decisions to maximise value for our customers. You will be part of a cross-functional team of software engineers, designers and analysts, and work closely with business partners to ensure alignment to strategic goals.

A successful internship with us can guarantee your place on our Technology Product graduate programme when you graduate - before you’ve even started your final year of study!

Who we are looking for

We’re looking for interns with a curious, creative mind, who love solving problems. You’ll need a strong passion for technology, an analytical mind and be comfortable translating product vision into detailed engineering requirements. Being a great teammate is key, as you’ll be working with lots of colleagues across technology to bring your solutions to life. Great communication skills are essential in order to gain support for your ideas and understand the wider business context.

What you need: predicted 2:2 degree

What’s the difference between Product and Programme?

A Product Manager will translate customer problems into pieces of development for a technology product, working closely with software engineers, whilst also looking at the bigger picture of the product roadmap, strategy & vision. A Technical Programme Manager will collaborate with all affected teams to create a plan, manage technical risks, issues and dependencies, communicate with all partners and generally co-ordinate the technical aspects of a piece of work.
