Via East Midlands are currently seeking a newly qualified Project Engineer - Construction Delivery to join our Construction Delivery team based out of our Head Office in Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire.

What you’ll do
- Support the delivery of highway drainage and civil engineering projects, achieving quality, programme, and budget targets.
- Provide design, technical, and cost support while gaining experience on complex projects.
- Assist in reviewing engineering schemes to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
- Work with Construction and Commercial teams to improve efficiency and support business objectives.
- Follow Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice.
- Support communication and engagement with clients, stakeholders, the public, and elected members.
- Promote projects and the company at professional, business, and community events where appropriate.
What we’re seeking
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related subject.
- Good IT skills, including AutoCAD and other engineering software.
- Awareness of highway design standards, contracts, and procedures.
- Understanding of health and safety, traffic management, and relevant legislation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
- Awareness of project budgets and financial reporting.
- Understanding of the project lifecycle, from feasibility to construction.
- Motivated, customer-focused, and keen to develop leadership skills.
- Full UK driving licence or ability to travel to sites as required.
