We caught up with Garreth after he secured his graduate role with Qube. He told us what attracted him to the role, about the application process and his experiences on the graduate scheme.
I had started to apply for graduate jobs in February/March of my final year at university. However, the vacancy in question was for an immediate position whereas I couldn’t start until after my final exams. I was in touch with the graduate recruiter at the time (who attended the same university and is now my current line manager!) and he promised to get in touch in the summer when there was a more suitably timed recruitment day.
The role itself stood out for me as it appeared to be a mixture of technical and client-facing work, along with the opportunity for training to keep my skills up to date. My first impressions of the company itself was on my recruitment day when I graduated – everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful, answering any questions I had about the job or the recruitment process in general, which was really smooth.
I’ve really enjoyed my time at Qube Global Software and am glad I joined the company as a graduate. I’ve moved through a variety of roles in the company and have travelled to many places while doing so. I’ve spent time in Hong Kong and visited different countries in Europe working with our customers and I’ve been lucky to spend some time exploring these places as well as working there.
